I have growths in genital area, but have never tested positive for any std. could i have hpv?

Possibly: If the growths are wart-like it could be hpv but it could also be something harmless and non-std related. There is no blood test for hpv. See a gynecologist. In addition to examining the external genital area (vulva) you should have a complete pelvic exam including a pap smear if this has not been done within the past year.

Possible but..: Sure hpv is one of the many things that could cause growths in the genital area. There are many other things though that are not stds. The next step is to come in for a visit so we can help you determine the cause and take this worry off your plate. If you are local our office would love to help you out.
