Not good!: Short term Cocaine causes the artificial release of a set of signalling chemicals in the brain that trigger subjective feelings of power and elation. These feelings are disconnected from reality, impairing judgment. Used up, the lack of these chemicals then causes a "crash". Eventually, the nervous system and brain falls out of whack on a long-term basis.
