Cocaine: Addiction involves behavioral change & may need a little time -- but some people are "hooked" from their very first dose of cocaine. A few short term effects of the drug itself: feeling euphoric, energetic, talkative, and mentally alert -- especially to sight, sound, and touch. Speedy. Less need for eating & sleep. Constricted blood vessels; dilated pupils; increased temperature, bp, hr. & more.
