No great laser tx: There is definitely no laser or energy based treatment that is going to give you facelift like results, but there are some devices like ulthera, which is ultrasound based, which can help tighten the deeper facial tissue that we tend to lift with surgery. The prices vary greatly depending on the location and areas treated. I would say between $2500 to $5000.

No: Sagging skin needs to be removed in a controlled manner in order to look normal.

No: Laser treatments have limited action on the skin surface. They will not have any effect on the saggy skin in the jowls or neck.

Unlikely: Lasers cannot achieve the same multi laminar differential pull effects of a facelift. Lasers should not be considered an alternative to facelifts but a supplement that can enhance the results.

Not as effective: Many laser treatments can serve to improve the fine lines and texture of the skin. Ulthera can improve some of the skin laxity and can be very helpful in some cases however it cannot tighten the loose skin as effectively as a facelift. For patients not requiring a significant amount of lift", this can give a very nice improvement.

Facelift: No laser treatment can deal with excess saggy skin like surgery can. Lasers can "tighten skin" but surgery removes the excess skin and lifts the sagging tissues.
