Many reasons: To have an extra period such as stress, hormones being off, eating too much soy or infection. You can observe for now. If it keeps on happening get it checked out.

No worries: It is very common for a period to come too soon or too late especially in times of stress, live events or other changes. You may have ovulated early or not at all. If it continues to happen for several months see your doctor. Most likely your periods will continue to be regular after this. If the bleeding lasts more then 10 days see your doctor as well.
