More factors: A lot more factors play into sleep, including sleep hygiene, caffeine intake, etc. Also consider checking for mthfr mutation, as that may also be a factor. Increasing the melatonin dose or using half as an extended release may also help.

Get evaluated: There are many causes for sleep problems but medical causes need to be ruled out, please see your pcp. Once that's cleared, sleep hygiene; sleep on the same time and get up at the same time, no caffeine or exercise or food two to three hours before sleep. One needs to think about anxiety or mood disorders evaluation too. Start with your pcp.
