Retainer pain help?

Advil (ibuprofen): Sounds like you have not been wearing your retainer as much as you should. Mash it on, take advil (ibuprofen) and let time help. Your teeth will return to their positions best they can and the tightness/pain will dissipate.

See Orthodontist NOW: Assuming no damage to retainers, missing time in retainers can allow teeth to shift. If retainers damaged can cause teeth to shift. Not wearing retainers can allow further destabilization. Before things get worse see your orthodontic specialist for evaluation, retainer adjustment, or whatever may be necessary.
