Hair loss: Losing up to 100 hairs/day is fairly normal. They are gradually replaced. If your hair is thinning or you are losing more than that, it could be a problem. There are many, many causes and only a few are treatable. The most common treatable ones are low iron and low thyroid. These can be identified by routine blood tests. See your doctor if you think your loss is excessive.
