Days to weeks: It's normal to feel sore and short of breath. This will improve gradually. Ask your doctor when it's safe to exercise again. Moving and gentle stretching will help the incisional tightness feel better. As you increase your aerobic capacity, the shortness of breath will get better too. You haven't lost much lung tissue, and since you are young you will get back to normal before very long.
