Hard to tell: It's hard to tell. The best thing to do is to see a doctor and get a chest x-ray, as that is the best way to see if you truly have pneumonia.

Not necessarily : Not necessarily. Do you have a fever? How long have you had your symptoms. Sometimes heavy coughing can cause pain in your chest or rib cage.
