Echocardiogram : You should start with a cardiologist and an ultrasound (echocardiogram) to evaluate your heart valve.

Echocardiogram: Usually your cardiologist can follow up with echocardiograms (sonogram of the heart). If somebody ends up needing surgery, it is of low risk when planned. Try not to live your life in fear, though. You may never need anything done and live a long and happy life.

Echocardiogram: Echo is the test which the pediatrician would do for kids if there is a murmur or other physical findings then if positive some genetic testing for collagen disorders may be worthy. See your doctor.
