A member asked:

I am currently using compoundw (liquid form) to treat a wart on my finger. is my wart still contagious while using the medication?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Yes, contagious: Warts are viruses, transmitted from person to person by touch. If you keep it covered with a bandaid, and no one touches it, then you are much less likely to transfer it. Additionally, wart virus rests on the surface of the skin- if it goes deep, then you have a verrucous carcinoma. Hopefully the compound w helps. If not, laser can help as can liquid nitrogen & topicals like veregen (sinecatechins) and aldara.
