Need to wait.: Your doctor knows your situation the best. The endometrial biopsy helps your doctor in diagnosis, and although they know your history, etc., no one can predict what your result will be. Typically, though, results come back quickly.

Probably normal: Endometrial biopsy is performed to rule out endometrial hyperplasia (possible precursor to endometrial ca) or endometrial ca, which is increased in women with chronic anovulatory cycles (pcos). It usually takes more than a few years for such endometrial pathology to develop, and use of hormonal contraceptives or regular withdrawal bleeds with Progesterone decrease this risk.
Created for people with ongoing healthcare needs but benefits everyone.
