None: There is no risk of choking on tongue during the procedure. There are some risks being sedated but very slight. You will be safe and comfortable.

Minimal: There is a very minimal chance of choking on your tongue since your dentist will be working in you mouth and she or he could pull your tongue forward. There is risk of aspiration on your food if you have a breakfast though so be careful not to eat the morning of your procedure.

Zero: The dentist should be trained in providing and managing patients during sedation.
