Get evaluated: You need to go to a doctor who is knowledgeable about hepatitis b (hbv) and can figure out where you are with this disease. Some people need antiviral treatment and everybody with chronic hbv needs to be monitored regularly. Make sure everyone you live with is vaccinated against hbv to help protect them from accidental exposure. And avoid alcohol until you have discussed this with a clinician.
