Routine : Most common cause of miscarriage is aneuploidy (or genetic abnormality, usually spontaneous). Since unable to control genetics of conception once pregnant, best to follow routine early pregnancy do's and dont's that one can get from one's ob/gyn. Early ultrasound to confirm fetal heart activity (can usually be identified ~6-6.5 weeks ega) would be very reassuring to viability of pregnancy.
