Leave quickly: With babies and toddlers who do not want to leave their parents (at the daycare drop-off), the easiest way to do it is to hand the child off to the daycare provider, say "i'll see you in a little bit. Have a fun day. Love you. Bye.", and quickly close the daycare door and walk away. Be sure the child has a favorite toy with her. The crying will stop when it stops.

Separation anxiety : is common at that age. When you drop her off, say good-bye briefly & matter-of -factly without appearing anxious or upset yourself, then leave promptly. When you pick her up, smile & tell her you're happy to see her. Ask to have the same provider greet her daily & immediately engage her in a preferred activity. On pick-up, talk only about pleasant activities in which she participated.
