Neither : Edward syndrome is an abnormality of chromosome numbers, not a trait or mutation in the gene code. It cannot be inherited as all cases are fatal before reproductive age. During conception only one of chromosome of each pair is given by both parents to the fertile egg.If a parent adds their 2 nbr 18th chm to the other parents nbr 18, 3 end up in the egg & the excess 18 causes the all the problems.

Neither: It is neither dominant or recessive. Rather it is caused by duplication of chromosome 18. It is not inherited.

Neither: It is a trisomy like the more common down syndrome. It can be inherited if a parent was a genetic abnormality. It could be a spontaneous aberration. Genetic testing of both parents should be considered.
