Shouldn't keep going: Your period should generally last 3-7 days, with the bleeding occurring once every 21-35 days (generally speaking). If the bleeding lasts longer than this, or occurs more frequently than every 21 days, you will need to see your ob/gyn. If your period never stops, then you may also need to be evaluated for a hereditary bleeding disorder as well such as a von willebrand factor deficiency.
