Herpes B virus?: Is this is what you are referring to? It's also known as herpes b, monkey b virus, herpesvirus simiae, and herpesvirus b. If so, b virus is commonly found in macaque monkeys. Human infections are rare but can cause severe neurologic problems and death if not diagnosed and treated quickly. If there has been potential exposure, seek medical care immediately.

Hepatitis B?: Hepatitis b is a viral infection of the liver that can be severe and even fatal. If the infection lingers, it can lead to ongoing liver damage and eventually cirrhosis and liver failure, sometimes liver cancer. It's also possible to continue carrying the virus without illness, but transmitting it to others through sex or needle sharing. There is a good Hepatitis B Vaccine that prevents this illness.
