May Try Indocin (indomethacin): Indocin which is a very potent non-steroidal medication like advil or aleve (naproxen) seems to work particularly well for acute gout attacks. You need to check with your doctor to see if it would be ok for you since it can have issues with your kidneys and bp. It also can cause GI irritation as well as increase your risk of heart attack and stroke. You need to continue taking the medicine to lower the ua.
