Check with your Dr: Your doctor put you on the osteoporosis medication for a reason and you should check with him before stopping it . However the are no immediate withdrawal symptoms from stopping osteoporosis medication.

Depends: In patients were treated with certain types of medication for osteoporosis, after a duration of 4-5 years, treatment holiday is considered. This should be done under medical supervision. Would recommend discussing with your doctor regarding stopping osteoporosis medication.
