Brain Disorder: Brain circuitry studies show addiction is chronic brain disorder which can respond to treatment. It is genetic. Addiction is expressed in behaviors. The only choice about this disease is the choice to reach out for help just as one must for any other chronic disease. Chronic diseases require commitment, care, multiple modalities. Relapse of disease happens. It is worse with stress ; ignorance of care.
