Multiple options: Talk with your dentist. Options can include bleaching, bonding, porcelain veneers, and crowns. Each option has advantages and disadvantages.

Many ways: It depends on where you are starting and what your expectations are. It can be as simple as a cleaning, maybe some whitening, or you can try bonding (which is generally non-invasive) or veneers.

Perfect ?: Many people want beautiful looking white and straight teeth and that million dollar smile. "perfect" teeth do not always look natural and therefore beware of what you wish for, as the saying goes. You want your teeth to be part of a great smile, rather that others thinking- he has perfect teeth, i wonder who made them? Consult with an experienced dentist to discuss your esthetic options.

Look phoney: Top restorative dentist use their artistic ability along with dental principles to personalize their crowns and bridges. In dental language this is called characterization. Beauty is natural, not perfect. As far as color, tooth shade must conform to the patients skin, hair, and eye pigments, to look right. If you look at side by side cases, natural beats perfect every time.

Tall Order: Without knowing the type of treatment that you need, it is impossible to say what can or cannot be accomplished in an 8 hour period. In addition, it is unknown what costs you are willing to incur to achieve your goal. Your best bet is to be evaluated by a local dentist who can advise you as to what is best for that perfect smile.

Whiten/Veneers: I'm not sure how white is "really white" that you would like to get. Whitening is a great one to consider, but do consult with your dentist. S/he can show you the current shade of your tooth as well as possible "goal" shade. Place the shade tab against your teeth. If that is white enough, you may want to whiten. If that is not white enough, veneers can be very, very white and may be what you want.

OTC Whitening: There are many otc whitening products that can be found at your local drugstore... They may not work as well as professionally applied products, but they may do the trick for you. Ask your pharmacist.
