Palpitations: You're having an unusual awareness of your heartbeat. The medical term for that is palpitations. Cardiologists, and in particular electrophysiologists deal with these problems all the time. The first step is an ekg, and then a wearable monitor to see what specific rhythm problem may be to blame.
