Lisinopril for HBP: You can take Lisinopril 20 mg with a BP of 135/85, especially if you are diabetic. The more important aspect of your BP is that you have a difference of BP between your right and left arm. This raises the possiblity of your having a subclavian artery (sa) stenosis in the left arm. You should see a physician and have an ultrasound of your sa's done to see if there is a stenosis present.

Should be Fine: Not to be overly brief, but... You're fine and it's not. That said, 20mg of Lisinopril is a bit of a heavy hammer to swing at a pressure that's not even in the hypertensive range yet. Are you diabetic? Is it because you had much higher blood pressure previously?
