DDAVP (desmopressin) and ...: It appears your child has never achieved bladder control since birth (primary enuresis). Children with primary enuresis often respond well to ddavp(urine concentrating hormone). In case of poor response, alarm device attachable to underwear would be next treatment option which provides higher success rate. Consult your pediatrician for further details.

Does she care ??: I ask this not to be silly but to bring up a point, when a kid decides they want to be dry they will often be willing to work toward the change. Many of these must be taught to hold on to their pee for a while during the day to stretch their bladder & get up at night with potty alarms to empty. It is work but pays off.A discussion with her doc & some basic evaluation should start the process.

Bed wetting alarm: Roughly 15% of normal kids her age wet the bed. The safest most effective means of treating this is an enuresis alarm with no side effects, no copays, and no side effects. Medications can help control this problem, not cure it. If she has bothersome daytime problems or a history of urinary infections, see your provider.
