Possible nerve: You may have a nerve irritation or entrapment (called a radiculopathy) coming from your neck and/or lumbar spine. You would benefit from imaging studies such as an xray, initially, followed by an MRI if your xrays are normal and you are still having symptoms. In the meantime, using an over the counter anti-inflammatory may help and see an orthopedic spine specialist.
