Allergy: These are all signs of allergic reaction. Stop taking these meds right away and make an appointment with a doctor. A severe allergic reaction can be fatal. Until the exact allergy is determined, stay away from similar medications.

Stop! Benedryl, Call: What you describe are typical signs of an allergic reaction. One can develop an allergic reaction all of a sudden to something that one has taken already for a long time. However, this can also be coincidental and you assume it is related to something you just took. Regardles, stop taking any suspected medications & call your doctor immediately to determine how to proceed. Benedryl helps meanwhile.

See a dermatologist: Stop meds. But note that Benadryl (diphenhydramine) is a poor antihistamine & is used as a sleep aid. Benadryl (diphenhydramine) is not safe except at bedtime. Claratin, allegra, or zyrtec are better choices. Get a generic for same benrefit at less cost.
