Yes: The cervix has to have a chance to heal and some bleeding and cramping are normal. Under no circumstances should you have anything in your vagina (including tampons) until your physicians says it's ok. If you have heavy bright red bleeding flowing like that of a period, that would be too heavy after a leep.
