Possibly: A lot of people experience side effects when initiating a birth control pill, primarily from the estrogen portion on the pill. Headaches, nausea, and breast tenderness are the most common. Typically, during the first 2 or 3 months on the pill, your body adapts and the side effects diminish. Some people, however, continue to have hormonal headaches that require a change.
