Right Diagnosis: First you need the right diagnosis. Most back pain can be treated conservatively with therapy, otc medications and lifestyle modification. If the pain persists despite these treatments then a MRI would be warranted. You may then be a candidate for an injection or possibly even surgery as a last resort.
