It can feel like : Several things but typically it will be a pain shooting down an arm if from the neck, around the ribs if from the thoracic or chest part of the spine or down the leg if from the lower back with or without neurologic symptoms like numbness , tingling &/or weakness and may have increased pain with coughing/sneezing and worse with activity and better with rest. See your physician for evaluation

Tingling and numbnes: All depend upon where the nerve is "pinched at"and weather the nerve is a a sensory neve or is a mixed(contains sensory and motor fibers)sensory nerves the usual symptoms is numbness if it is a mixed nerve will give you symptoms of tingling and in some cases weakness to the muscle supply by that nerve.
