Yes: Yes there are several medicines to help with adhd. They are all prescription only, and given after a thorough evaluation of your problems. A psychiatrist or other physician skilled in these areas could assess your needs and help you with medicines, if indicated. Several: The medications for adhd are obtained by prescription only. There are both stimulants and non-stimulant options. Only a doctor (md) can prescribe them. Over the counter options do not exist for this disorder.

ADHD: Depends on the symptoms, severity, age, duration, & how it interferes with daily functioning, but usually combination of psychotherapy & medications. Some medications are Stimulants such as Adderall, non-stimulants such as Strattera, (atomoxetine) & others such as Tenex & Intuniv.
