Question for doctors- im 18, if my grandma died of early dementia, had diabetes, and grandpa has heart probs/cancer. then do i have inferior genetics?

No: You might want to do a little more family research on who else on which side of the family had dementia and/or diabetes. There can be genetic transmission to increase likelihood, especially of diabetes.

Not inferior: But make an effort to establish a healthy lifestyle now. Avoid adding to any genetic risk of these diseases by maintaining a proper body weight, exercising regularly, and eating a heart healthy diet. Let your doctor know about any family history and follow up regularly. Take advantage of your youth and you can minimize any further risk related to your family history.
