Not directly...: Someone who is not absorbing iron or vitamin B12 for example will have a characteristic type of anemia (low red blood cell count) that will be detected on a cbc. It is possible to have malabsorption and a normal cbc, however. It all depends on what is not being absorbed and the length of symptoms.
