Olfactory alteration: Olfactory hallucinations (others do not smell it) of sweet perfume or of putrid scents can be due to partial seizures. Occasionally medications, inhalants, or hallucinogens can be responsible - stopping them should provide relief. Significant head injury, seizures, or anoxia (lack of oxygen to brain) would encourage further questioning/evaluation. Antihypertensives can cause sterile smell.

Nose/sinus: Could be a sinus infection. Try irrigating your nose with salt water (nasal saline irrigation) available over the counter. If this does not help, you should see your doctor to make sure there is no infection requiring antibiotics. There are also other, rare, weird causes of smells (temporal lobe seizures) that require evaluation by a doctor.
