Hard to say: This is a complicated problem. Do you actually have a fever or just night sweats? How elevated is your esr? Is CRP elevated as well? Do you have signs of allergy? Is it possible you have a parasitic infection? Do you have any unusual exposure or travel history. I assume that your exam is normal. Your joint popping is of no consequence and is not related.
