Yes but . . .: Any thing you take will affect you. Question is whether effect is good or bad. Dietary supplements such as milk thistle & fish oil are not regulated by government. As such, there may be some contaminants in there that can be bad for you. That's because there's no regulation that manufacturers prove effectiveness or safety prior to marketing. However, milk thistle is said to be good for liver.
