Surprising answer: I have seen many children witrh what used to be acceptable as "growing pains". They are caused by inefficient metabolism in the tissues of a rapidly growing child and it is a reflection of empty calories inducing relative vitamin deficiency----hence they really are "growing pains"! they do respond to appropriate diet and vitamin supplements. See my blog "oxygen the spark of life".
