Why are my forearms, elbows and wrists hurt so much after having neck surgery?

Position intraop: There are several possible reasons, but positioning during surgery is a common one. Every effort is made to make sure patients are padded, protected and comfortable during surgery. You are in one position for a while, discomfort can occur in those areas where more weight was distributrd.

Hard to say: There are multiple potential causes and if it does not get better, you should be checked. Some simple causes can include complaints related. To how you were positioned for your surgery , fluid retention with your surgery, medication reactions or even related to neurologic complaint from swelling around your cervical spine cord postoperatively. An exam can usually determine the cause. Thank you.
