Should be fine: Will need to be seen if acting unusual of develops any additional symptoms. Give plenty of fluids, rest and tylenol (acetaminophen) for fever. Cold compresses will help.

Now: Take him now to rule out otitis, meningitis or pneumonia. If you catch disease early may be he will recover faster. If the child is active , not dehydrated and behaves normally you may decide to delay till tomorrow. Impossible to give right advice with information provided.
