Medicine last resort: Is there an underlying cause such as: mineral deficiencies(iron, folate, (folic acid) magnesium), venous insufficiency, or various immune deficiencies. If all else fails and no underlying cause is identified, get daily exercise and cut back on smoking and or drinking, if applicable. Take a multi-vitamin with iron and save medication as a last resort.

Restless legs: Over half of patients with restless legs actually have vein disease. If you have varicose i would even be more suspicious your problem is vein related. Before resorting to medication, may be worth having an ultrasound looking for superficial vein problems.
