Human bite: You may require a tetanus shot. The hand is very vulnerable to rapid spread of infection and loss of function. You could require antibiotic treatment. An evaluating physician will be able to provide specific guidance.Signs of infection include: redness, swelling, pus-like drainage, red streaks, increased pain and fever.
