A member asked:

Why is it harder to lose gynoid type fat compared to android (methyltestosterone) fat?

A doctor has provided 1 answer

Hormones: Fat is not typically catergorized as gyneoid or android (methyltestosterone) but as peripheral ( arms & legs) or visceral (belly fat). Visceral or belly fat is the hardest to loose and leads to problems such as high blood sugar and high cholesterol because it is metabolically active and releases hormones. Diet high in vegetables, fiber and lean protein along with regular exercise can help.
