Can you receive hiv from having sex with someone who isn't infected without a condom?

Usually not: Why take that chance? "no glove, no love".

No: For you to acquire infection from someone, they have to be infected. Infections are caused by tiny living organisms, usually viruses or bacteria that are living in the body. If the person isn't infected those creatures are not present so can't be transferred to you. But there are other infections besides HIV and there's also no way to know for sure your that partner is not infected. Use protection.
