Yes: Hsv-1 is usually passed from person to person by kissing. Hsv-1 can also spread from the mouth to the genitals during oral sex (fellatio, cunnilingus, analingus). If this happens, it becomes a case of genital herpes.

Yes: Herpes type 1 and type 2 can both be seen in either location. Just because they are more commonly seen in one location or the other doe not mean they cannot be spread to the the other during an active attack. Herpes (both types) can actually show up other places for example herpetic whitlow is herpes in the finger and used to be seen in dentists before we knew to wear gloves.
