Depends.: Anemia by itself will not cause bruising. However, massive bruising and anemia is suggestive of a bleeding disorder or a lack of platelets in additional to red blood cells from a bone marrow problem. The most importtant issue is to establish why you are anemic. Show your doctor the bruises. If concerning, they will check a platelet count and coagulation tests. You may need to see hematologist.
