No: You might not be diagnosed if the doctor does not think of the disease. Many with irritable bowel might not be diagnoseed properly.

No: Celiac has been seen in both young and old. Certainly having relatives with celiac makes the chances of having celiac higher and as a result awareness is raised as well

Probably: Newborns have a crude, immature immune system which likely needs to mature enough to have the reactivity of celiac disease.However, we do see well developed food allergies and intolerances in kids as early as 6 mo or so & this is strong evidence that some could develop it this early. The symptoms are so vague that many are not accurately diagnosed for years.Toddlers do get it.
