H and H: 13 over 39 probalbly describes the hemoglobin (13) and hematocrit (39) the hemoglobin value is the amount of oxygen carrying substance (hemoglobin)that you have in your blood. The hematocrit is the amount of red blood cells (the cells that carry hemoglobin) that you have in your blood. The hemoglobin is usually the most important number.
